an incredibly delicious, gluten- free, & fudge-like chocolate cake that can be made with dairy or without // the walnut cream sauce can be dairy free or made with dairy milk //

- Turn batter into pan and evenly spread
- Bake for 30 minutes, Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes before turning onto serving plate
Walnut Cream Sauce
- 3/4 cup Walnuts
- 1/2 cup milk (1 % dairy or plain unsweetened almond are the only 2 I have tried)
- 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1/8 tsp vanilla
- food processor
Prep:: None :: Yield:: About 1 cup of Sauce
- Place walnuts in a food processor (mine is a 4-cup Cuisinart processor which I use all the time and LOVE) & pulse until finely chopped
- Add milk, syrup, and vanilla
- Pulse until smooth (sauce will be slightly chunky, but I love it due to the nutty taste I get from the little chunks of walnuts)
- Store in refrigerator for 4-5 days
the cake reheats well in the microwave and tastes delicious with the chilled Walnut Sauce // Add Berries or Bananas (or Both!) for an extra delicious treat // I also served it with a few chocolate covered coffee beans, yum! // Cake Recipe Source:Here Thanks Shanna Hillman! // I modified the Dairy Free Version (Similar taste to my homemade brownies!) // Walnut Sauce Source: Yours truly!
Happy, Healthful Baking!
